A total of 1,497 or 55.55% of the 2,695 police examinees passed the special promotional examinations conducted by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) on July 30, 2017 in the cities of Makati, Cebu, Tacloban, Zamboanga and General Santos.
NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao said that the special promotional exams were intended exclusively to all PNP uniformed personnel (Police Officers, Senior Police Officers, Police Inspectors and Police Superintendents) who are college graduates and who were not promoted for at least nine (9) years as of December 31, 2017.
Out of the 1,848 police examinees who took the Police Officer exam, 1,078 (58.33%) passed. For the Senior Police Officer exam, 406 (50.31%) of the 807 examinees hurdled the test. Nine (9) or 27.27% of the 33 police officers who took the Inspector exam passed, while four (4) or 57.14% of the seven (7) examinees who took the Superintendent exam succeeded in the test.
Note: All passers are advised to prepare their promotion folders for this 2nd Semester Promotional Cycle and submit it to DPRM (Attn: RSD), copy furnished DLOD.
