Philippine National Police Chief, Director General Oscar David Albayalde personally graced and conferred the two distinctive PNP Service Medals to seven (7) police personnel with significant accomplishments during their past duties.
Coinciding with the Regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at Camp Crame in Quezon City, Albayalde awarded the Medalya ng Katapatan sa Paglilingkod to P/Dir Camilo Pancratius Cascolan for his exemplary performance as the director of the PNP Directorate for Operations from July 1, 2016 to April 18, 2018.
Currently, Cascolan is the newly-installed Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
In addition, the PNP Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod was given to other six (6) chief superintendents and senior superintendents for their eminent, meritorious, and invaluable service in different PNP units under the leadership of former PNP Chief, D/Gen Ronald Dela Rosa.
The latter PNP service medal awardees with their previous assignments are C/Supt Joselito Esquivel (Ex,O Directorate for Intelligence), C/Supt Marlon Ganzon (Director, PNP Training Service), C/Supt Ericson Velasquez (Deputy Director, Directorate for Police Community Relations), S/Supt Ferdinand Divina (Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PRO 1), and Supt Ebra Moxsir (Chief of Police, Marawi City).
As one of the notable accomplishments, Moxsir's eight-month stint of the Chief of Marawi City has achieved major vital developments and initiatives during the colossal ravage of Marawi siege.
Under his watch, intensified and full-force operations were being conducted to install airtight checkpoints in and out Marawi City, clearing operations in Main Battle Area, and closed coordination to religious leaders and local government units in Ilagan City and adjacent Islamic areas to prevent escalation of terrorists’ sympathizers
